THE HISTORY OF MOLLY AND ME PECANS

Kay Holseberg is a Charleston native who has always enjoyed baking so starting this business was an easy decision. After working in the corporate world for 30 years and raising two kids, Kay and her husband moved to the country and started renovating an old house. She harvests from her own pecan trees and buys from other local growers in order to help the local economy. She enjoys the country life and selling her pecans at farmers markets and online.

The best part of the business for Kay is meeting people. "I love meeting people and the Charleston Farmers Market is the perfect place for that. The tourists that come to Charleston are great and a lot of the locals come by every Saturday. I have had people tell me they are sending my pecans to family or friends all over the United States and even to Japan, the Ukraine, and England, That makes me happy!"

Kay's "business partner" is her dog Molly. Be sure and check Molly out in the photo gallery. Molly is a Presa Canario Mastiff that weighs over 150 lbs. now. She loves the country and spends her days rolling around in the hay field, exploring the woods and just hanging out with Kay and their other dog.
